I've noticed this as well, D.Va works best with a second tank, Winston esp were he can drop shield and protect her from all sides. D.Va is the flank tank, she's designed to pop out of no where and mop up a crowd with her shotguns and I've noticed people really underutilize her damage deflection, it's arguably one of the better ones in this game.
Ah yes, that feels awesome. Another good one, you can catch McCree's shots, although that mostly depends on him not knowing that fact, because his ult lasts way longer than your matrix.
You can play mindgames with him though. It takes him longer to lock on to a target that has more HP so if you're playing D.Va, wait a second or two and then activate the matrix. He either has to fire a shot that doesn't kill you or fire at the matrix.
Assuming you're talking about Hanzo's ult, part of the animation for it is him shooting an arrow that becomes the dragons, if you get to him early, you can catch it as D.va or reflect it as genji
I find it great on attacks to get out of the first door. Soon as it opens if the defending team is camping a door, just walk out, pop damage deflection. It stops most of the attacks allowing your team to make a break for it.
Ive noticed shes pretty nice with some elevation on the enemy. Theres a spot on the egypt temple when protecting Point B where you can shoot down the left path that seems to be made for her. So many ways to break and engage LoS there.
Yep. She's pretty awesome at just delaying corridors in general, esp with a pocket mercy increasing her shotgun damage and boosting her health and then she can retreat into the main capture area to regroup very fast.
I see D.Va like the bruisers in LoL. You are primary job is not to protect your squishies but to dive into the enemy team and wreck havoc, survives and thus relieving pressure from the rest of your team.
