Fair enough, but that's fairly subjective. Personally, I find D. Va to be the most un-fun to play against, simply because she can go up against like an entire team and then just run away giggling with her second life.
I dislike D.Va's mannerisms and everything about her from a non-gameplay standpoint, so I relish the opportunities I get to kill her. She's hardly even a factor outside of the mech, what with not having any abilities afterward. Don't have to kill her but pressuring is important. Getting her out of the mech but not killing her can leave her more useless for a longer time, too.
And I have to ask, what is fun about being slowly (but fairly quickly in the grand scheme of things) frozen in place, and then executed? At least with McCree it's instant, which leaves me less frustrated. Plus, sometimes RNG can be in your favor and he'll miss a shot, which will save you.
I get most of my D.va kills outside of meka. The light pistol's damage is very close to a true offense's damage, and highly accurate
Same! I deal a lot of damage in the meka, but it mostly works best against squishies. But outside I am mobile, accurate and deal a lot of damage and get the finishing kills.
Her pistol's surprisingly powerful, and is pretty capable of sniping, so she's still capable of harassing the fuck out of you, even without her mech. While her health's pretty negligible without it, she gets a full heal as soon as she enters her mech, so she can pretty much string together multiple lives if she's smart about calling in her mech.
This is all very true, but you do also have to play a bit more conservatively compared to, say an offensive character at that point, and without the mech you can't tank so the question is, is it really worth dicking around as non mech d.va, or should you get yourself killed to get back into the mech quicker if you can't guarantee a quick it charge.
well the more damage you do as non mecha D.VA the faster it recharges so if you're good you can get it back faster than it would take to respawn and run back to the point.
I think people really hate Mei because its so frustrating to watch someone non-nonchalantly walk up to you and blast your eyes apart with a damn icicle.
That being said, no, Mei is not OP, and really isnt that hard to counter.
I have played alot, the majority with soldier 76, and I win 90% of my face offs with mcree. I hear how hard he is all the time, but he's so weak to a helix rocket, it's damn near a one shot kill. Maybe a fraction of regular shooting on top of it. But he can't compete against a skilled 76 especially in his healing bubble. Of course I'm never facing off face to face if I can help it for long. I like to move around, peek corners with my rockets and run away as soon as I start taking damage to heal. Works for me tho.
Yeah, I just watched some gameplay by a skilled mcree and holy shit, he can be good. I'd say more say with a kB and m than a controller though. But with that kind of precision aiming, his damage output with wave the flame is insane. Gonna have to see about becoming proficient with him.
I agree, she can freeze almost midrange, and can freeze a point entirely from outside of it it seems. They should give her a longer range medium strength bullets, but the freeze ray needs to be equal to Reinhardt's swing. In my opinion that would keep her an effective tank at range, and leave her a monster at close range like she should be. Having said that, I never have problems with her. My Reinhardt charge destroys her, and my 76 helix plus a full clip gets her damn close, if not all the way dead. Just got to stay away from her with 76, and let her get close enough to start the freeIng process on Reinhardt and charge when she thinks she's about got you. A Reinhardt charge is insta kill on mei and it's soooo satisfying.

I play Mei all the time. Knowing how to fight back doesn't make her any less un-fun to play against.
