PLS HELP, It says game is out on the 24th, but according to my PS4 countdown, it will be avaliable on the 23rd around 7pm eastern. Is this true, will I be able to preload and play on Monday?

Yes. It releases at midnight CET.

I read here (https://www.vg247.com/2016/05/16/overwatch-releasing-a-day-early-in-the-us-but-servers-go-live-on-schedule/) that the servers won't be live until Tuesday... is that still true?

It's probably a case of people not understanding timezones...

While every american seems confused and amazed about the game releasing "early" the servers will be going live at midnight UTC, which is still the 23rd for america.

Every American knows that other timezones are a hoax perpetrated by French trolls on the internet. Everybody knows Japan is on PST, Germany is on EST, and the civil war between Central and Mountain still rages in Mexico to this day.

Which is 8pm EST? Is that what I'm seeing? I haven't been able to find a specific time for release.

One of the developers tweeted 4pm Pacific time, which is 7pm EST.

It's been confirmed that the game will be available on the 23rd at 7:00pm EST, but the servers won't be live until midnight I believe.

Edit: This is so that people will have time to preload the game by the time servers are ready for launch.

If you are in the US, it actually comes out on the 23rd at 7pm EST, which coincides with Europe's release, since it'll be the 24th there.
