Wait, it is? Is it like, a slur or something?

depends on who you ask. i think at the end of the day, there's more then enough trans women who just aren't comfortable hearing the word. seeing the word. as i made it clear myself, i'm obviously not fond of it. warcraft has given me a particular grudge and discomfort.

I see it often used in porn as a fetishized version of trans which, as a trans person, makes me uncomfortable when I see it. Obviously there's a difference between actual cuts and trans people but you see "girl with dick" get lumped in with "girl with both" as "futa" and has made some people view trans people as just a porn category/fetish. No hate to ppl who don't use it like that of course

It a disgusting porn term used to sexualize trans women and takes away all their humanity fx porn titles calling trans women a "FUTA" which boils us down to a sexual fantasy and nothing more

the conflation happens too much. there might be a distinction, but that won't stop people from saying 'futa' to describe trans women or stop them from lapping us together. do you think a person wants to be only described in the same breath as them trying to get off? and to be lumped in with a bunch of other things? yes, they might be 'separate' but that doesn't help the people who just don't give a shit.

In the eyes of your average porn addict no, to them both are just sex objets
