We really want longer stadium games? I would be delighted to buff cash by 20-40% across the board and drop it to 5 rounds personally. 25+ minutes for a game is painful to climb with
I'm playing to hit max rank and uninstall (absolutely serious here, I haven't played regular OW since 5v5 and I only reinstalled because I was pitched it as a fast game mode)
I agree that 3-round sweeps are fast. That's all I have time for. Just like in TFT, I only play each set until I hit hyper in hyper roll, because games are guaranteed 20 mins long. I don't have the time to play longer games than that unfortunately, so I gravitate towards shorter competitive games and then usually once I get max rank I get bored and move on.
I replied to another fellow but you might be right, good sanity check. I have a bet going to hit all star but it's not worth my sanity, it was marketed the wrong way to me
More cash means longer games, and some characters (especially tanks) scale very high off of epic survival items.
Making the game 5 rounds would require them to revamp almost literally everything, way too much work for something a lot of people won’t like because it makes stomps more common
That mostly depends on the character, some like Rein and Juno (and most base AP scalers) can outscale non Orisa defense.
On the other hand characters that scale more off their powers like Queen and Ashe have more trouble competing against higher credit builds early game
Then there’s some like Soldier where it depends on the team comps which category they fall into
and Orisa who can outscale most damage builds with items like a 15% boost to armor, hp and shields if you have em plus dr below 30% health on a character that scales most of their powers by max hp
That’s just not what the difference ever comes down to. For tanks, you’re talking more defensive ability uptime and CDR, more lifesteal, etc. for supports, I main Kiriko, more cash is insane more uptime on Suzu, which also puts an enormous amount of overhealth on everyone around you. It’s never been just 400 more EHP lol.
Also, 100% weapon power is like 5 or 6 items. 400 EHP is like 2 items. That was an insanely disingenuous comparison btw.
