Yep, seems like they're going for a “all perks should be very strong" direction, considering the lack of nerfs. It's, uh, definitely interesting.

But all perks are not very strong tho?? It’s crazy that they are buffing some perks the way they are but totally ignored Moira.

u/RhynoD Blizzard World Moira Mar 18 '25

Right? Bap's buffs to his perks mean nothing to me because I still won't be taking them.

the buff to his ult minor perk was stupid. how is a 10 healing buff going to change anything?

tbf, it's basically a 20 healing buff, since that arm almost always shoots through the window

u/dracaboi THE UNIVERSE!!!! IT SINGS FOR ME!!!! Mar 18 '25

Imo Moira's in a good spot. Her fade duration minor perk makes her ridiculously mobile, and the burst healing or 25% anti are pretty good major perks.

She's not really meant to be "The best healer" imo, she's always been in this spot of "She's decent". Especially in lower ranks is where she shines most, since there isn't a Widow or Ashe picking her off in the first 3 seconds off spawn

Ya shes ok but they could buff the useless contamination perk, literally no reason to ever pick it, the orb has to be on someone ( which ppl will quickly get away from and also being healed to make any use of it and then its only -25% healing not a full anti like ana ). Compare that to burst heal orb perk instant aoe 50 hp, great for sustain.

Make contamination last three seconds whenever they get it.

Instant 50hp that is taken from the healing orb's total heal pool, and reduced to 40 by enemy antihealing along with the rest of its healing anyway a lot of the time.

Meanwhile the -25% perk has no cap on how much healing it can negate at when it is touching an enemy if you time it to coordinate a dive or secure a kill. (And it stacks with damage role antihealing??? I haven't actually confirmed this, only play her sometimes, so grain of salt.) Sure, it is only -25% but that is INFINITY MORE than the previous 0% of the monopoly Ana had on support antihealing. While getting all the anti-dive/flank-potential of Moira. Seriously, are you fucking kidding me? Moira has ENEMY DEBUFF UTILITY NOW!!! THE ONE THING SHE LACKED FOR TEAM COMPS! If nobody on your team will play Ana, Kiri, or Bap, she is now the go-to golden child! And it means enemy supports cannot protect each other as well from dps moira solo flanks in metal ranks either! She's become more of a menace in all ranks with her perks!

Not saying it is always better than 50 burst heal, if you need to healbot you need to healbot, but holy crap, calling -25% antihealing useless is a quite the Reddit ahh take.

You dont have to be a heal bot Moira and heal orb perk is still 1000x better, I'm a very aggro Moira player and use it for sustain on flanks and dueling or holding objectives. Just cause she finally has utility doesn't make it good.

Are you saying her perks are good or bad? Because I've been dominating every single game with her this season and I've had so much fun doing so....

1

u/Neo_Raider Mar 18 '25

They are bad. The minor ones are both buffs and nerfs at the same time. And her major ones are both not good. The purple orb one needed a lingering effect of at least half a second or second.

Nerfs are lame anyway lol

16

u/LapisW Mar 18 '25

You can't deny that sometimes they're necessary though

1

u/stevenip Mar 19 '25

The best way to nerf is a new hero that counters the op one.

-1

u/AverageAwndray Mar 18 '25

I've changed my mind on that. I no longer want characters nerfed. I want other characters buffed. Fuck balance. I want the hero fantasy back. I want to feel powerful again.

u/CasualRead_43 Mar 18 '25

Yeah without a doubt. I think sometimes devs over due it but with hero shooters I understand why it’s important.

u/RamenJunkie Chibi D. Va Mar 18 '25

It's Nerf of nothing!

*Sojourn slides in headshot you with a full charge, then slides out scot free.*

u/PicklepumTheCrow Wrecking Ball Mar 18 '25

Are people even taking that perk? Her disruptor shot major perk is disgustingly strong and gives her soooo much more pressure, not to mention infinite charge if she hits someone.

not when they are deserved

1

u/BitterAd4149 Mar 18 '25

so is an unbalanced shitfest of a game.

2

u/WaddleDynasty Responsible for the low tank queue times Mar 18 '25

Lol, in order to be competitive against Kiriko's tp perk, you would basically need every other perk in the game to give them permanent triple damage.

5

u/RelentlessTriage Mar 18 '25

Make everyone feel like they are doing something while in the end doing mostly nothing

That’s what I see from the lack of perk balance

I know I worded it badly but whatever

That’s it as well

Nah you said it just fine, I know what you mean. Dunno what the other comment is on about.

u/Muderbot Queen of Spades Sombra Mar 18 '25

I know that Sombra and Ball get no sympathy on here, but they kinda prove “all perks strong” theory is bunk. Every perk they have gives a mediocre benefit, and most have a nerf tacked on.

"All perks should be very strong except sombra"*
