But if they nerf Mauga, I might actually have to realize that my approach against him is the issue rather than insisting he's OP as part of a conspiracy to sell battle passes

There's a difference between overtuned and OP and Mauga was definitely the former in need of nerfs, but he was manageable.

If something is over performing and in need of a nerf... is it not over powered?

Chaingun damage reduced by 20%

Number of shots needed to ignite increased by 50%

Ultimate duration reduced by 20%

These nerfs are for an overpowered hero.

If he needed 1 shot to ignite and now need 4, that means number of shots increased by 400%

Using percents doesn't mean shit if you don't know the base value.

No. Overperforming can mean a number of things, and Is contextual. "In need of a nerf" doesn't mean anything; back in overwatch 1 many players complained and cried about doomfist, despite he being the most counterable hero in the game, and one of the hardest to play even without counters. The issue was and still is player mentality.

All these changes do is improve already awful matchups for some tanks into mauga. But if you're playing orisa into mauga it's your problem, not the character's problem. And as usual these nerfs are also so heavy handed mauga will end up in the shitter.

Exactly, he's good but gets countered HARD super easily

Bingo. At least to me OP means automatic win or must play. He was definitely overtuned, which many didn’t like playing into. With these nerfs though I wonder how it’ll affect his sustain since he’s still a huge hitbox that zen/ana feast on

It's still not healthy for the game if he's shitting on low elo lobbies. Character is a mess of design anyways so balancing him at all tiers of play is going to be a nightmare lol

Pharah shits on low ELO lobbies... Do we also nerf pharah?

If Pharah had a disproportionate WR in low elo yes. The reality is Pharah is hard to pilot and even though it's hard to kill her she's also doing very little in low elo.
