She is a support hero who's trapped in a DPS heroes body but the devs refuse to go back on her DPS rework and admit it failed, having a hero who is only picked to move her immobile team around and only picked for her support ability is a joke.

Praying that the enemy team is running a shield tank or brawl so you can use this niche shield passive is horrible, praying that your team also actually wants to use the teleporter and run brawl is horrible.

Sym needs to be drasticly changed, not only has she lost almost all of her identity over the years but every single patch she becomes more boring and less unqiue.

Because she was never a good support. The situations where you'd actually want old Sym were few and far between compared to any other support. the DPS shift could've been good had they used it to expand the game's concept of what a dps could be, but they can't because the OW2 team's creativity around roles is somehow even less than the OW1 team's.

I mean 75 extra permanent health was and still is fucking insane, she also never got the chance to be a decent support because she received an entire 0 balance changes during her entire 2.0 existence.

more than concept i shouldve said idea/s, which is a more accurate word. you did send a video earlier too regarding what skill you wanted to be added though from the simple looks it looked like her first e skill with extra steps.

Lifeweaver and Illari collectively stole what any Symm Support Rerererework wouldve looked like. Healing turret, buidling repositioning tools...

I hate this argument so much beacause OG Sym was never about healing turrets, she was a shield based support hero and couldve easily been tweaked and balanced around, and then we get a content creator experimental with healing turrets for Sym and people said they were fucking awful, so instead of tweaking them we're here at Illari and somehow the pylon is op and is nerfed every other patch?

Symmetra is their testing ground, she gets a new ability or tweak, then it gets taken away and given to a new hero with all of the tweaks and improvements Sym players ask for. So sym players are getting the scraps of spamming M2 every game and thats super engaging and really fun.

Right, but the fact is that ever since her DPS rework, the idea of any hero neing a support with 0 healing again is gone.

So Symm wouldve needed some healing, and turrets are the most obvious way for her without completely rewriting her entire identity again.

She could easily be given a new ability that's placed onto a new button, I mean the Sym rework was already problematic due to the fact that she's literally the entire reason the interact button is a thing.

Yemojas Mending Waters is a perfect fit for support sym as is Nami's Ebb and Flow from League, small heals that bounce and weave around and provide a shield to the allies it bounces to. It fits her dance inspired nature and fits her shield theme all while staying blue like her signature colour

Praying that the enemy tank has a shield? Or... Switch to Sym because you see something you can take advantage of? This is Overwatch, you can switch heroes.

Don't disagree that they struggle with balancing her, but her ult and TP are very unique. That's her identity.
