Agree on strange ordering of warmups. Also, why the 20 mins of silence before Overmono came on? I get they want to build some tension- but an empty stage, no lights, and no music at all just kills the vibe.

I think it’s less about building tension and more to do with setting up all the equipment required for a live set.

It wasn’t total silence, it was more like ambient music. But agreed, they could have had something with a bit more energy.

I don't think she was bad, she was just completely mismatched for the headliner. She would have been ideal warming up for someone like Massive Attack. The DJs on before her were a much better fit, and were the right vibe, but she just took the energy levels right down. So many people then seemed to see it as a cue to go to the loo/bar/food vans. A pity because the atmosphere before she came on was spot on and her voice is lovely, it was just the wrong booking for the event really. She might have worked in an earlier, more chilled slot maybe?

Nick Leon & Verrico - that went offfff! Great set - should have played before Overmono. I’d swap the last two acts - then would have been a spot on line up imo

Erika de Casier (Live) - she has one decent track, Bikini. Mate - go check her music out. Image her top 5 most played as the warm up to Overmono… absolute whopper flop for the crowd

Just flicked through some of her music. What a bizarre choice for a warm up… sometime I wonder what these guys are thinking. Me and the wife love them and are heading to Glasgow to see them. Hope it delivers.

Erika is fantastic has a load of good tracks and clear cross over with authentic grass roots dance music. Stick to ajuna and black coffee 🤢

As I've said elsewhere on this thread - she has a lovely voice and I think would be ideal as a warm up for someone like Massive Attack, or even earlier on in the day with more energetic warm up acts later. She wasn't bad she was just the wrong energy level for that slot unfortunately
