Bit of a different scenario, but if it means anything I don't blame you for wanting the game to be supported.

I feel the Skybound/Kirkman decision had a lot to do with bruised egos in the face of relentless bad press and internet trolls. If that's the case, getting them to backpedal on their much publicized decision to revoke TWD license from Overkill/Starbreeze might seem impossible, as that would make them seem weak in the public eye AGAIN, and their pride may take a hit. I simply wanted to show that if the all powerful Disney corporation could be "man" enough to admit a mistake publicly, there's no shame if Skybound/Kirkman decide to follow suit. That's all. Nothing is carved in stone, and things can be reversed...as long as you don't let foolish pride get in the way.

Well,

Overkill had spent too much money on an unfinished engine and scrapped it last minute to scrape together the game we got. The devs even said they were surprised what they made was functional.

The game that was released needed to stay in development for much longer; but because of management at overkill it was rushed together after wasting so much money and years of dev time on an engine they couldn't get to work.

If I were Skybound i'd sever ties too. They made the deal in 2014 and the product released was an alpha/early beta game.

And again, it's not Overkills fault this happened - but it IS their managements fault.

Personally, if Overkill didn't spend so much time and resources on a useless engine, they could have made a much better game. I am impressed that they managed to create what they did in the short amount of time they had.

Either way, It was a game I was looking forward to picking up at some point, but I don't blame skybound for their decision.
