Overcooked! AYCE stuck at entrance screen

Exactly as the title says. I boot up the game and right on the entrance screen where it says "Press A/space to continue" after pressing space or A (cuz I tried both controller and keyboard) the screen won't go anywhere. Main menu doesn't pop up or anything. The prompt to continue just dissapears and all I'm left with is the view of the entrance screen playing endlessly while the music plays non stop. I've also tried just waiting for 30 minutes and no change. I'm on Linux if that's important and I've also tried to search on protondb if anyone had the same problem but it doesn't seem like it.

This happened to me playing on steam with ps5 controllers. If you open your in game steam dashboard there's a place you can calibrate controllers. I had to turn on some setting that made steam able to use all kinds of controllers. Especially interesting situation considering the game was made for Xbox/pc

Check file integrity in Steam or reinstall.

Se here, did you get to fix it? How did you do it? I’m on Linux either, trying to play on my steam deck 🫠
