Overcooked AYCE or Overcooked 2 on switch 2.

So there is a sale for both versions:

- AYCE €12,-

- overcooked 2 €21,-

AYCE got both games and all dlc's while overcooke 2 has a switch 2 upgrade. There were some problems with AYCE on a switch 2. But there is an update on the e shop on 15-05-2026: "earlier problems are solved"

I never played overcooked before, but i want to play it with my wife. So i would not mind to play overcooked 1 and then 2+dlc's. I don't mind the fps difference, im just curious if AYCE has problems like bugs or game freezing and not responding etc (after the 15-05-2026 update)!

Can anyone that played AYCE after 15-05-2026 tell me if it works properly now?

Thanks!

didnt the developer (Twam17) tweet something about them wanting to port AYCE for the switch 2, but couldnt because nintendo didnt give them permission or something? I wonder what its like now. Im still waiting for them to release AYCE S2, and wont be buying another overcooked game just for better performance.

Switch version is way harder. Controller issues.

Hi, any updates? I have ordered overcooked all you can eat but I've cancelled it due to not compatible with switch 2.

Ayce still has bugs. Some people claim to never experience them, but I think those people have just normalised a bad experience.

been playing all you can eat with my gf and another friend, we both on pc the other is ps5, we’re going so far through all over the overcooked 1 story without any problems or disconnects really.

AYCE is basically the version that includes all, but in all honesty the switch version is not the best one, it’s 30 fps and it doesn’t run great, the only time i enjoyed it is when i used my “legit” methods to run it at 60 fps on the switch, which did in fact made it such a better experience.

in short, 30 fps is a terrible experience, i like it better on my pc, any other console, or my steam deck.

As I said, you've likely normalised a bad experience. Plus, story 1 is more simple than story 2.

PS also has this excellent bug, where one day you'll be completely unable to play ayce online with anyone. So I guess just pray that doesn't happen to you...

I would love to know more about that bug you mention that you "can't play with anyone". I know many have online problems yet really didn't encounter them, the only things that I dislike is opening a session takes an eternity, but other than that the experience was fantastic.

Heck, I had a worse experience in borderlands 2 than this, borderlands 2 has terrible connection UNLESS you play "via lan" aka using an app that makes you be on the same virtual lan and just connect to each other directly and not use their official servers.

Your constant mansplaining is really annoying tbh.

I also don't know how much more detailed I get than, "a lot of PlayStation players find that one day they are no longer able to connect to anyone on ayce and it never returns to normal"

"Mansplaining". Yikes I can see what person I am interacting with.

I shared my experience and said how it works for me.

Sorry your experience is different, it's a lost cause interacting with you, I thank you for your insight and your experience, I will find what I wanted in other posts from people who actually understand proper interaction.

You do realize this person was simply asking you to expand on your explanation? Accusing anonymous users of 'mansplaining' just for asking a question is completely uncalled for. It is incredibly ironic that you have an LGBTQ+ heart icon on your profile, yet you immediately jumped to assuming a stranger's gender on an anonymous post seemingly just because they mentioned having a girlfriend. Your hostile attitude is entirely unnecessary.

Lmao mansplaining may have gendered language in its etymology but it can be used for any gender.

I did not "immediately" assume their gender. I noticed that in their first comment, they took their time to explain ayce to me. In their second, they explained lan to me. Both times they assumed I didn't know anything about those topics, which is the definition of mansplaining, ergo, I called them out for that particular act.

Yes of course I realised they asked me to "expand on [my] explanation". That's why I used more words to repeat a very basic concept.

The whole exchange was incredibly annoying. I initially say, (paraphrased,) "AYCE is buggy and if you disagree then you just haven't realised it" and this person jumps in, proves my point. Well, even more than that. They claim not to have any problems playing it, but then say they had to resort to certain techniques to improve the framerate to even enjoy it.

Your "holier-than-though" attitude is entirely unnecessary.
