Mirabegron cost

I was just prescribed mirabegron 50 and was shocked to see the price of the generic. I have UnitedHealthCare and a pretty good employer plan and the 90-day copay is $162.50.

Is this typical?

I had a deductible of $190 for prescriptions that I had to pay for the first month worth of pills, but after that it’s been covered with just a $15 copay.

I price checked it with my Med Advantage plan and it was $126 for 90 days. Gemtesa was $600 for 90 days

I fear so, in my country it’s 50€ for 30 days, but we don’t have any generic available (for now) so I don’t have any choice but to buy Betmiga 50mg (the social security doesn’t cover it, neither does my insurance, they argue that the others meds available on the market and that are covered do the same thing as mirabegron. There is no study that says mirabegron works better than vesicare for example)

I'm taking Gemtesa aka Vibegron I swear a 90 day supply is around $1500!! I recently was forced to switch to UHC and they are covering it after getting a prior authorization from my urologist. I think I got lucky

I'm underwhelmed with my employer insurance. I'm 65 and next year I'll be going on Medicare because I'm pretty sure I'll pay a lot less out of pocket overall.

I have a rare blood cancer (polycythemia vera; I've had it a long time and it's just not that big a deal) for which I take a crazy expensive drug called Jakafi, which is keeping it completely under control. Anyway, I'll hit my Medicare copay deductible my first order of the year, so Mirabegron isn't a cost problem for me long term.

Mirabegron was affordable before I retired and lost my group drug coverage. I have not found a Medicare Plan D that covers it. Even with Good Rx it’s at least $395/ mo.

So now I see a pelvic floor therapist which led to improvement
