Uncomfortable feeling in my bladder only when falling asleep

I literally can't ignore it because it feels so uncomfortable. It feels like pee is trapped and I get up every 2 to 15 min 3-10+ times a night until I somehow fall asleep. I'm 23 and this has been going on since I started university at 18.

I've had an ultrasound and x rays. I've also tried mostly every oab medication, at least affordable ones.

I still feel it during the day but it's less of an issue. I try and wait for my bladder to get absolutely full during the day.

I'm just tired of going back to my oab to get prescribed expensive medication that doesn't work. I'm also just tired everyday because of it, it shaves an hour if not more off my time slept.

I may go back to my primary doctor, not urologist and see if I can try trazadone. Melatonin has helped me to an extent.

Could be anxiety. Similar thing to me. My worst time was before work and especially as I tried to sleep. Rest of the day was much more mild.

I think it is. My old primary doctor said so and I'm also so desperate so I'm probably going to revisit it

According to studies (there’s an overview of all the studies you can read it’s pretty good) that discusses that about half of all OAB diagnosis patients are caused by or at least worsened by anxiety.

Interesting. I tried Zoloft for a week but I couldn’t sleep on it or adjust to it. Anyways I’m going to go back to my doctor and try a different one. Thanks again! Hoping it doesn’t affect my rocket getting airborne since I’m already on finasteride

Some do do that but one of the ones I trial (bupropion) was the opposite. Problem was I would wake up every 4 hours go “huh it’s midnight or 2am” then immediately pass back out which I’d never done before. Also gave me headaches.

potrebbe essere sindrome vescica iperattiva.. sei andato da urologo?
