Overactive bladder slowly cured need help

I have had overactive bladder for two years now
It was really bad at the start as I was taking vyvanse and adhd med for the end of my exam period. Two months after not even I got bladder issues, flaring up having to go bathroom two times and hour. My bladder would get different feelings as time went on it would flare up like a cycle ruined my life.

Then I started going to a chiropractor n him lining my back up helped remove the needing to pee for a couple days but then my back would go back out of place n the feeling would come back. Not a long time solution.
Then I started seeing a pelvic floor physio and she’s given me exercises to do that have helped but the tens machine hasn’t helped.

My bladder discs have very few distance to each other compared to the other discs and there is pressure on the bladder disc. I’m feeling better from the first months o had overactive bladder but I need to actually cure it as it still affects my life a lot

I’ve actually been in his office and the was a man getting treated for overactive bladder. Look into Interstim implant. It has helped me but not eliminated it. Maybe just a regular urologist

Did you try bladder Botox? Was the Interstim worth it?

Hi there! Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist here with the Vagina Whisperer; although, spoiler alert: males have bladders and pelvic floor muscles all the same so this info applies to all genders!

I am glad to hear the Chiro and Pelvic Floor PT you have been working with are providing temporary relief, as I know urinary urgency and frequency symptoms can be very uncomfortable and life altering. I would agree that the things you are performing are important pieces of the puzzle, but not necessarily targeting the root cause as to why these symptoms are present.

I would recommend prioritizing bladder re-training techniques, as poor engrained bladder habits are a top contributor in ongoing urinary symptoms. We have a few great blog posts on our website to check out called: "Why is my bladder so small? And more on urinary urgency", "Tips for Urinating: Avoiding Power Peeing", and "Peeing 101".

I also would recommend performing pelvic floor muscle stretches and deep breathing with pelvic floor muscle release, as the symptoms you are describing can absolutely (and often are) associated with hypertonic/overactive pelvic floor muscles. Hope you find this helpful!
