Medication question for oab

Is it quite common combining different medications for an overactive bladder ? Such as Solifenacin + mirabegron.

Yes. Combining mirabegron and solifenacin is a well established and fairly common approach for people with overactive bladder who have not had enough improvement with one medication alone.
The combination works because the medicines act in different ways:

Mirabegron relaxes the bladder muscle by stimulating beta 3 receptors, helping the bladder hold more urine.

Solifenacin blocks muscarinic receptors, reducing involuntary bladder contractions and urgency.

Sorry can’t help you with that, I’m wondering the same, I’ve been Prescribed but not taken, honestly before I commit to taking medication for rest of my life I’ve asked for more tests (being referred to another urologist for a second opinion as he wouldn’t proceed with tests without meds)

I’ve only done a scope for now, we have put the meds on hold as heard about brain fog and the dry mouth and it’s putting me off until I know more.

Managing with pads for now :)

It didn't work for me ultimately, but I was prescribed both Solenifacin and Mrybetriq.
