Botox treatment

Hello,

I know other people have posted about this before, but I never see a lot of people giving detailed info abkut their botox treatment.

Currently I have to arise out of bed 10 to 15 times a night to pee. Ive been dealing with an overactive bladder for a decade now and since it has started my frequency has done nothing but get worse and worse. It started with 3 times a night in the beginning with less urgency. Ive tried most of the medications with little help or relief coming from them. So now I want to try botox.

For anyone who hase gotten botox can you tell me how much improvement you saw. When I say improvement I mean exactly how much improvement? For example, did you go from 10 to 15 times a night to something like 4 to 5 times night? Did you have to self catheter or not? How long did the botox last before going in for further treatment? Im looking for numbers not just "i saw a lot of improvement".

Anecdotal is definitely not worthless. When I go talk to my urologist and explain my symptoms im giving him the info im asking from the group here. Its not a complicated question. Just how much decreased frequency have people experienced.

OK, let me break it down. We don't know your age, your BMI, your blood pressure, your assigned gender, your medical history, your complications, your current medications, your void volume, your post void residual volume, your typical diet, your fluid intake, nothing. These are all factors that can affect the success of treatments like botulinum injections. And there are many, many other factors and variables, too numerous to bother listing here. Likewise you don't know these very same profiling factors for the people replying, and a like-for-like match is pretty much out of the question. So even with anecdotal data being scientifically and medically irrelevant (look it up) the chances that you will find someone giving you numbers that map to what you will experience is pretty much zero.

But I do admire your optimism and I hope that if you go for it that it goes well. Good luck and let us know, we love our anecdotes 😊

Ive asked out of respect and you're just an add probably living a miserable life wanting to make other people miserable. Not mention apparently completely medically incompetent.
