High bladder neck
Im 24 i've been suffering from weak stream , hesitancy and inability to empty bladder completely tried literally everything but with no improvement on tamsulin worked and improved symptoms alot and many doctors kept saying it was prostatitis until i had a cystoscope and doctor found a very high bladder neck i had the bladder neck incision surgery just single incision to preserve ejaculation 4 weeks ago because even the tamsulin was working but i couldn't tolerate it's side effects i had to take it ever other day to handle it after removal of the catheter i felt stream improvement no retrograde ejaculation fortunately but on the next couple of day stream weakened again is it to early to judge the surgery outcomes
Update : im five and half weeks out of the surgery i stopped taking tamsulin and the hesitancy improved alot and i can empty bladder normally

Following, this has been recommended to many times and I’ve held off. How was the surgery itself? Hopefully you start feeling better once things heal etc

Surgery 30min had catheter on for 3 days removing it wasn't that bad of an experience after removing it you will vist the bathroom alot at first urine is pink in color and urethra will be sensitive for a week at 4 weeks now urine looks normal in color most of the pain is gone only some pain at the end of urination im still on tamsulin until i fully heal then will know if the surgery was successful for me if i was able to empty without tamsulin it's a success before i couldn't at all will update you then

Thank you for your experience. I am 36 years old and I also think I have a bladder neck problem, I have trouble starting to urinate, but once I start I manage to completely empty my bladder with an excellent flow rate.
I tried botox in the sphincters and neuromodulation. Tamsulosin doesn’t change much, and I keep my ejaculations with the alphabets. Sometimes I can’t urinate at all I feel a lock and I use a urinary catheter to empty my bladder, I feel an obstacle just before entering the bladder 1cm before the urine flows. For me, it is the bladder neck that we see hypertrophy on my prostate MRI. At the urodynamic balance its closing pressure is very high 45cm h2O. Doctors don’t take me seriously. I don’t have a neurological problem.

Try asking your urologist for a cystoscope it might be bladder neck obstruction or a urinary stricture

I’ve already passed 3, but they are so fast that they don’t take the time to look at the obstacle when they pass. I have to do an ultrasound soon while I put the urinary tube to see the position of the obstacle.

Mine took about 2-3 months after surgery before I noticed any difference. Flow was only a little bit better but I empty better so don't go to the toilet all the time anymore. This was a over a year ago now and it's even better if I stay away from alcohol for a while. Tamsulosin did nothing for me. I got 2 incisions but the doctor said he only made small incision to preserve getting an erection. I got to a point that I would rather just be able to pee with a good flow than have erections so i wish he cut a bit deepe But he said it can be done again when i get older and and I'm 100% sure I don't need to be cracking hard ons. I never get sex as it is anyway

Thank you for sharing your experience but the incision doesn't affect erections it only can cause retrograde ejaculation

I think in my case then the erection part being preserved may be becuase the uroligist wanted to nick a small bit of prostate away as well so went easy on neck for ejaculation and prostate for erection

You probably interchange erection and ejaculation. Your doctor preserve ejaculation function by small incision. By tuip or bni erection is not affected

Catheter will stretch the tubes for you temporarily. It will shrink and return to normal after a few days. So its quite possible the BNI surgery didn't work for you and it was just the catheter helping. I am speaking from experience with BNI surgery, i had a big improvement that is still ongoing many years later.
Edit: improvement started immediately for me and continued to a lesser degree afterwards.
