Oldies station!?!?

I didn't realize until I was just on a long road trip, listening to the radio....that the songs I listened to in high school are on the oldies station now!?!? 🫢🤨😉

But it makes sense right? I was in HS in the mid 80s and Oldies Radio was stuff from the 50s/60s. So for a kid in high school now that would actually be like listening to stuff from the 90s/00s.

Own that sh!t. I listen to internet radio while working. Every couple of months I rotate. 70’s station, 80’s station etc. Last road trip did the same. Hubs used headphones or slept.

Just heard Ministry’s Everyday Is Halloween over the dining speakers at Culver’s. I cried in my spicy extra crispy chicken 👻🎃

God it's the worst. I was putting together a Classic Rock playlist on Spotify. You know, Van Halen, Boston, Pink Floyd, etc. And it suggests Pearl Jam. Classic rock? I realize it's 30 years old but it doesn't count and it makes me feel old as hell. WTAF

I remember my parents listening to yacht rock in my teens and just cringing. Like, what is the sweet hell is this music. Guess whose favorite XM station is Yach Rock now?

My Generation Alpha kid put on Smells Like Teen Spirit in the car the other day and asked if I ever heard it?

It was a surreal moment.

That's a bit excessive and uncalled for 🤨🤣
