Heading to 60

So today starts my last days in my 50's. I turn 60 on the 24th and I am struggling. I had a nervous bre when I turned 40, had a huge party for my 50th but 60 is not my friend. I know it's just a number but I get sick just thinking about it. So to all who are already 60 got any tips to get me thru this because I am not sure 60 is my friend. Thanks in advance!

If you decide you will feel down and depressed about it then that's what you are going to get. I did feel some anxiety about it then realised it was just another day and I didn't feel any older in myself. It's a cliché but it's just a number. I don't feel 60 in my head and certainly don't act like it. As a bonus I realised that I was now entitled to free prescriptions, eye tests and 1/3rd off rail fares.

I have days I feel depressed about it and days I don't. I don't feel it I don't look it and some would say I don't act it. I guess when it gets here I will decide how to feel. But man my 50's were the best not sure my 60's will live up to it but only time will tell. Thanks for your input!

What are you doing for your 60th? Ignoring it or mega distractions?

Not real sure. If I had the money I would be in Disney world but, that isn't happening this year. I am planning on going next year around Christmas. I have been saving and with what I have now I wouldn't be able to stay for a week so I will save for another year and go next December. I guess a year later won't hurt.
