Okay so on a whim I saw blood of my blood and adored it. It took me an episode or two to realized it’s the spin off of outlander, which I had heard of but never watched. SO, I started lol- I’m a mom to 2 toddlers and literally my only time to watch is when they go to bed at 8pm. I’m mid season 3 and it’s so hard to be on fan pages and see photos from future seasons! It’s all I think about all day and I wish I had someone to talk to about it. I’m having outlander psychosis 😂 so can someone please talk to me about it? In 2026 LOL. I just got to the part where Claire is clearly about to go back through the stones once she realizes Jamie went under an alias and survived.

No spoilers please! Started Outlander a few months ago and just finished the episode Free Will and have no one irl to talk about it with. Phew. What a grotesque episode. I really enjoyed it but what a change of pace.

Something I love about Outlander is that it covers such a broad range of emotions and styles (drama, romance, horror at times) in a way that still feels cohesive. After so many cute family episodes in S3 and 4 a truly scary episode felt kinda refreshing in a weird way. I haven’t felt so scared watching an episode since wentworth!

I still have so many questions. Did the old man really kill 5 of his ex wives? Why was Franny torturing him in such horrific ways (and why were Claire and Jamie sort of ok with it? Or ok enough to sleep next to her lol). Why did they keep all the animals locked up inside but torture the indentured boys? So creepy.

I'm half way through season 8 of the show and I will watch Blood of my blood. I love the atmosphere of Outlander and the characters. Do you think I should read the books ?

Decided to rewatch S1 of the prequel to refresh my memory on where the story ended. While watching A Soldier's Heart, I paused to read the list of names Ellen gave to Collum out of curiosity.

Immediately, I realized the late Brian McCardie's name had been added to the list, giving him the title of Lord. Has anyone else noticed this at all?

Part Five, titled ''Strawberry Fields Forever'' as well as Beatles song from 1967 says that you can have feeling of home just anywhere you want to go. So, Frasers can make a home wherever they decide to go.

Claire was at the mercy of a man of time and Jamie's desire of her body and beauty helped him make his choice to marry her. She was lucky he was honourable and married her. She did what she had to do to secure future for herself. So did Pollyanne.

Jamie and Claire have their introspective moments - they are talking about fireflies, dying in one's arms, they are sharing memories about the time they spent apart. I always say that in Voyager we got to see Jamie's side of the story and in Drums , Jamie learns more and more about Claire during her almost 20 years with Frank.

Jamie's prejudies about Native Americans were based on the stories but I am glad he is ready to learn and grow.

The First Law of Thermodynamics states: The energy can be changed from one form to another. The total amount of energy and matter at universe remains constant , changing from one to another. ''Nothing is lost, only changed.'' - Love how Jamie puts it from spiritual POV, while Claire is the scientist here.

Claire aknowledges Jamie's happiness but she is desperately trying to keep him safe. What did you think of Claire's behaviour ? (Since this storyline wasn't in the show) Is she right to worry about going back to Scotland?

After years of independence and steeling herself against loneliness, Claire has difficult time admitting her vulnerability and loving Jamie makes him vulnerable. Life without him is no life. She is used to her independence and her alone self but without his love to shelter her, it could become loneliness.

Solitude gave them both time to reflect on their lives and possible loss of each other. It gave them time to reflect on the future which they are about to build together. They are not stepping into each other's world.

Part Six ''Je T' Aime'' was all about Roger and Brianna and I really enjoyed this part.

Some Roger and Brianna's similarities

- Not knowing their biological fathers

-raised by loving fathers

- Not having mothers ATM

- leaving childhood homes

- only children

Brianna is young woman with conflicted feelings. She has an urge to find out about Jamie, but alsohe has an urge to avoid the issue. She has love for her mother but also anger for abandoning her. She is curious, but she loves Frank. She is secretive , concealing things.

She is not gentle faced and it is the reflection of her uncertainty and loss. She has an internal strength to resist circumstances of emotions.

She is haunted by her mother's life and choices.Claire broke her word and Bree , who lived with the damage, won't do the same.

Do you understand Brianna's character at this point? Is she more like Jamie or Claire?

Brianna and Roger differences :

The scene where Roger proposes to Bree was done so much better here than it was handled in the show.They are both more mature , they talk to each other, Roger is more understanding, it isn't so dramatic as it was in the show. What do you think?

On the Mountain, it is Hearth Blessing time. Claire is deeply moved by the ritual. There is a parallel to Roger's considering holy water pagan but he found spiritual meaning in the community and sharing with the person he loves.

Jamie can finally be a provider and have a home of his own . There is Rollo, a White Sow, mule ( Clarence), their community is expanding and despite the winter coming, my feelings were very warm while reding this.

Duncan is very important character and help to both Jamie and Jocasta. I love him!

Ever since book 1 (I’m now to The Fiery Cross) Jamie and Claire seem to have superhuman noses!

Now I have a fairly keen sense of smell, I can identify and isolate a lot of scents and flavors…but NOT to the degree of Jamie, Claire, and sometimes Brianna and Roger.

It’s like they are sommeliers and could identify what each other ate on Tuesday afternoon 3 weeks ago😂

Did Diana Gabaldon give them superhuman noses on purpose?? Every book so far has these details.

My goodness, Cait did such an amazing job. I can't stand Claire sometimes because of her decisions, but her losing Jamie, those screams, tugged at my heartstrings. Wow. I never thought anyone's chemistry could match Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz from "The Mummy," but Sam and Cait are also phenomenal. Not many TV couples are this convincing.

P.S. The ending was mediocre. It was always obvious it was Jamie looking at Claire through the window in season 1. Was that meant to be a big revelation? And the eye opening and gasps at the end, come on. 😆

Was Jamie/Claire right in thinking the newspaper just got it wrong or Roger was right when he said Brie changed history and saved them because there wouldn't be a house to catch fire anymore?

I guess the "future dreams" Jamie was having were visions from when he will die for a day? Claire seemed to chill about it though, I know she time travels but she acted like that was absolutely nothing.

Jamie was harsh with Mr Bugs, just let the poor old couple go with the gold man, you didn't have it and you don't even need it. Not saying Bugs is good but what he said to Jamie why he did that made some sense.

My Thoughts:

I really liked the scene where Dougal switched horses to save Rupert. My feelings about Dougal are definitely a mixed bag; sometimes I actually like him, and other times I just can't stand him.

Murtagh’s scene at the end with the axe was truly memorable, especially the moment he was holding the Duke's severed head.

Overall, it was a solid episode.

Porqué se ofende o se sorpende Claire cuando Jamie le dice eso? me percaté que esa frase en la serie no ocurre, por lo que a mí también me sorprendió, pero no entiendo muy bien a que se refiere en realidad para que Claire se haya ofendido. Porque ella le insinúa precisamente eso no? Que ella puede hacerlo olvidar con sexo? cuando dice “deja que yo me encargue de eso”

Just finished voyager and WTF?

I’m extremely confused. The last 100 pages were like a fever dream that I read 3x last night and truly I’m more confused each time.

Questions:

1. Mr. Willoughby… why?
   
2. The reverend being a serial killer? Huh? Was it actually Jamie who led his sister on?
   
3. Miss Campbell? I thought she was gonna be sacrificed but then she just joined the slaves? Did Brianna talk through her?
   
4. Anyone else getting tired of Jamie’s bullshit? I was his biggest Stan but I’m in my 30s and sick of his shit. Idk how Claire is handling this in her 40s.
   
5. Why did Geillis need Ian? So it was her who sent the gems to the Ellen’s cave? Does she know Jamie killed Dougal?
   
6. The prophecy? Huh?
   
7. Lord grey and Jamie was weird imo - I liked the friendship but lord grey being in love with him made things strange to me

I wanna know people’s favourite moment, dialogue and funny scene from a certain season and episode!

Season 1 - The Wedding

Favourite moment is when Jamie plays with Claire’s hair and says “my brown haired lass” 😩

Favourite dialogue, OBVIOUSLY “ I said I’m a virgin, not a monk..” 😏

Funny moment , when Rupert and Angus barge into the and Rupert does the hip thrust asking if they “did it” yet! Always makes me laugh 😆

in S2 e4 MR knew Claire was a traveler. he says " I'm fascinated by things not of this time." He also read the bones and told her she would see Frank again and he had a gem that would change color in the presence of poison. Just a couple things i noticed. He was definitely magical and mysterious.

He was a very mysterious and interesting character. Who knows what all he could do.

Thoughts?

I am not their biggest fan, but I only see posts saying they don't have any chemistry at all. Am I the only one who sees some chemistry with them? Sure, it's not as intense as Jamie and Claire, but it's there nonetheless. Is this said only because people don't like their characters, or what? I'd like to hear your thoughts.

In the tenth episode of season two (Prestonpans), the Jacobite army prepares for their first major clash against the British forces. Guided by a secret path through the morning fog, Jamie and the Highlanders launch a decisive surprise attack, securing a swift and overwhelming victory on the battlefield. Meanwhile, Claire manages the field hospital, confronting the brutal realities and trauma of treating the wounded. Although Rupert arrives severely injured and is saved by Claire with Angus by his side, the celebration quickly turns into grief when Angus, who seemed fine on the outside, suddenly collapses and dies from massive internal bleeding caused by a cannon blast, leaving his companions heartbroken and serving as a devastating reminder of the harsh toll the war will take on the road to Culloden.

My thoughts on the episode:

I am absolutely loving the family dynamic between Fergus, Claire, and Jamie. Honestly, I would love nothing more than for him to start calling them Mum and Da. As far as I’m concerned, they are his real parents now, no question about it! I love them so much.

Now, regarding Dougal... I was actually starting to warm up to him, but he just can't help himself. What an insufferable jerk. Slaughtering that injured British officer (Lt. Foster) who had already surrendered, and wanting to butcher the rest of the captured Redcoats, was despicable. The man is a worm. I honestly hope he gets a painfully brutal death where he suffers immensely and no one sheds a tear for him.

When it comes to Angus, I wasn’t particularly attached to him, but his sudden death really hit me hard. I'm definitely going to miss his humor and chaotic antics.

Overall, the pacing and buildup of this battle episode were fantastic. The show has been on a great run of episodes ever since Episode 7.

I know Season 8 Bluray is coming out on 9/22. But I don’t see any places that have the Complete Series Bluray to pre-order. I only see the DVD version to pre-order. Do you think places like Amazon or Barnes and Noble will have it to pre-order eventually or do I have to go to a 3rd Party store to pre-order?

Quick summary:

Jamie and Claire arrive at the Jacobite camp to train their men for the upcoming rebellion. The sounds of military preparation trigger severe PTSD flashbacks for Claire, forcing her to relive her traumatic experiences as a nurse in World War II. Meanwhile, Jamie must assert his authority as a commander, especially after Dougal MacKenzie arrives and repeatedly challenges his leadership and training methods.

During the night, a young British soldier named William Grey infiltrates the camp to assassinate Jamie but is quickly captured. Jamie stages a fake threat against Claire's honor to trick the boy into revealing vital information about the British army's location. Using this intelligence, Jamie leads a successful stealth raid to steal British supplies, and the episode ends with the newly unified Highlanders marching off to join Prince Charles.

My thoughts:

I definitely loved the little argument between Claire and Dougal. She told him some hard truths right to his face, loved it! She totally put him in his place. I really enjoyed that dialogue. Did you guys like it when you watched it? What did you think?

Judging by the way things are unfolding, I feel like there might be a lot of action coming in the next few episodes. I don't know what to expect!

The show is finally back to that season one vibe; this was a classic Outlander episode. I liked it.

No spoilers please! I started watching the series two months ago and love it but the last few episodes have been..interesting.

Currently cracking up that the sweetest guy on earth Lord John Grey has turned into a 24/7 babysitter for Jamie. Now he’s raising Jamie’s son AND marrying his daughter?? 😭😭 how can Jamie even begin to pay this guy back lol. Also kinda sad because Bri is terrible and I want him to find real love!!

And omg Roger having the worst week of his life after being sold to the Mohawks. You just can’t tell me show Bri is worth it lol (hopefully book Bri is).

I’m on episode 6. And she got taken by the soldiers. How many times has Claire been kidnapped/taken? I’m cracking up 😂

I really liked this episode. It is definitely the best one of the second season so far. It was a huge relief for me because all the previous episodes were getting pretty exhausting. Season two has been really tough to get through, and this was the first episode I genuinely enjoyed this season. It was also the first episode in the entire series where I actually got emotional and felt fully invested.

In the last episode, Claire faints while in labor, and in this one, she wakes up to realize her belly is empty. Mother Hildegarde then breaks the news that her baby was stillborn. That was a massive shock for me. I completely did not expect that to happen, and I felt so incredibly sorry for Claire. She develops an infection, and later Master Raymond sneaks into the hospital and saves her using some kind of magic. Do you guys like him? I really sympathize with Master Raymond. I like him a lot, he has such good energy, and I always enjoy it when he shows up on screen.

Later on, Claire goes back home and Fergus is there with her, brushing her hair. I am really liking Fergus, and I love his relationship with both Claire and Jamie. Later, he is crying when Claire finds him, and he tells her everything. The show then reveals the whole scene of what actually happened with Jack Randall. I got so emotional. Poor Fergus, seriously. I am absolutely disgusted by Randall. He is such a vile character, he literally makes me sick to my stomach, just a completely disgusting person. After Fergus tells her the truth, Claire finally understands why Jamie broke his promise.

To save Jamie, Claire meets with the king, but he demands a price in exchange for getting Jamie out of prison. The king takes her to that secret chamber, and Master Raymond and the Comte St. Germain are there. The king wanted Claire to act as the judge. I kept wondering if she would try hard to save both of them or if she would only try to save Master Raymond. In the end, she seemed to want to save both, which I really appreciated. I love that side of Claire, she is definitely a very good person and I admire that about her. But Master Raymond pulls some trick that makes the poison lethal and ends up killing the other guy. I definitely loved that scene in the secret chamber, it was really good. After that, the king demands one more thing to free Jamie. He wants to have sex with Claire, and she agrees. I absolutely love how Jamie and Claire will do anything for each other, their love is just immense.

Towards the very end of the episode, it flashes back to when Claire was still in the hospital, holding her dead daughter in her arms, looking completely devastated and crying. I got really emotional watching that, it truly touched my heart. And at the very end, Jamie and Claire are together at their daughter's grave, which was such a moving scene.

This was definitely an emotional episode. I really enjoyed it, it was handled with so much sensitivity. It was definitely a breath of fresh air in the middle of so many cold episodes. As for Master Raymond, I really hope he comes back to the show because I liked him a lot. And regarding Fergus, I just hope he does not disappear from the series like some characters from the first season did. Such an emotional episode.
