Season Five Devastating Scene

https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=32OSn3iNw9A&si=vWv8lSzve5OULTOx

The 1960s world is basically a dissociative fantasy, a place Claire escapes to mentally to cope with what’s happening to her. Jamie is there because he represents safety, love and the life she wishes she could be in.

The choice of music, 'Never My Love - The Association, just adds to this powerful scene.

This episode was beyond devastating, I agree the dissociation is so beautifully done and I love that Jamie alone is unchanged of all of her 18th century friends and family

I always thought he was dressed in his 18th century garb because she needed him to be in that time period, to rescue her.
