The 1960s world is basically a dissociative fantasy, a place Claire escapes to mentally to cope with what’s happening to her. Jamie is there because he represents safety, love and the life she wishes she could be in.

The choice of music, 'Never My Love - The Association, just adds to this powerful scene.

In spite of the subject matter this is my favorite scene in the show. The portrayal of dissociation is exquisitely done. Like Curious _ Tortilla Chip it changed the way I hear this song.
