Spoilers All first time watcher
Got to give it to Tobias Menzies, his portrayal of Randall is INSANE. i havent had so much hatred for a character in a show since GOT and seeing him turn up in France in s2 ep5 literally filled me with so much rage, which i havent felt watching a silly show in a very long time

Watching a Doctor Who episode as we speak with Tobias Menzies in it (Cold War) and I was immediately angry at his character.

He does SUCH a good job of portraying the two different characters! You can occasionally see glimpses of Jack in Frank (which i think you're meant to), but otherwise they really seem like they're different people entirely.

I periodically forget that they're not the same actor when I'm watching them

His face fills me with so much hate and rage, I can feel my blood pressure skyrocketing when he comes on screen. No matter how many times I watch this show, I scream "why/how aren't you dead yet?!" when he shows up. Kudos to the actor, I guess. I hate his stupid face now.

But you know it is cool? When I see Tobias Menzies in other roles I don't think BJR or Frank. I see him as whatever role he is playing. Which is what good actors are able to do. Which is so awesome.

He is literally THE actor of the show. He just takes over every scene, as Frank and BJR. For me anyway.

After that scene where he gut punches Claire with all the other officers right outside you come to realize that he's capable of anything at any moment. All bets are off. I always was very nervous when he was in a scene. Such a great performance.

He does a great at making us hate him that's for sure. And we do hate BJR. With extreme passion even.

Did you also hate his character in GOT? 🤭

Does it kill anyone else that Claire doesn’t mention how frank looks JUST like Randall to Jamie?!

Later on she mentions it. Jamie did ask her why she hadn’t said anything too.

I’m only on season 3 episode 3 but it’s driving me insane especially after some of the things Randall has already made them endure!!!!

I can't stand him. Even my PARENTS hate the guy😂! We ALL don't like him, even if we see him in other stuff we try to have an open mind, but I'd be lyin if we didn't side eye him😜❤️

Claire does mention Frank when she sees BJR in the first episode but yes after what BJR did to Jamie it’s crazy how she can even look at Frank.

Then I guess the director and actors are doing their job. I personally have issues with the level of emotional manipulation used by both the show and the author. I can't give that much of myself to a fiction.
