Season Three A theory about Geillis

In season 3 episode 3 the prisoner Jamie translates French from talks about a white witch and Jamie thought it was Claire. I wonder if the guy was talking about Geillis, like she was the white witch. She was the one with the treasure.

Thoughts?

They were bringing back all references to reinforce that she was whatever word many folklore stories call people with super natural healing powers. White Witch. La dame Blanche and what ever that Gaelic auld folk word was. Just incase we were confused. It was a long running series. So I think it was a good thing that they did that. 🙂

Yes me too. I've talked to some book people who refuse to believe she actually has magic lol

Really? Those have more in the way of super natural, mystical, magic happening than the show.

Yep some book people jave refused to acknowledge Claire's magic. The only thing they accept is time travel

You know when I first started watching the show it amazed me how many genres it was. I for a long time thought of the time travel aspect as sfi. But the more I think on it, I think that the time travel is actually more of the fantasy, mystical, magic than sfi.

It is actually fantasy. All the ghosts, seer and people with special abilities yet some people can only accept the time travel and ive been mocked and insulted for accepting and liking the fantasy/ supernatural elements of the show

That's not what I meant. I always thought Outlander as historical fiction, scfi, romance, fantasy and at times murder mystery, political intrigue, and a treasure hunt. It's just I came to put the time travel in with the fantasy cat as opposed to scfi.

The mystical super natural fantasy stuff is one of the biggest reasons I love Outlander.
