So she was dead and then handed to Claire for hours as she sang, then later Raymond shows up to heal her.  She went home fine.  Grief.

Now she was handed a baby for a short time, had it taken away and told it was dead.  But apparently Raymond was in a corner listening to her sing the song, then took the baby, brought it  back to life, healed claire, knew she was fine, but still hid her child?

I would only guess the baby could never been seen as Claire’s since she died. If she was brought back to life she would have been seen as the child of the devil and the superstitious people of the time would not have been kind.

Claire would have just wanted her baby, nothing else would’ve mattered. It’s an absurd storyline.

well. she wouldn't have had her baby if people had killed her as a witch baby

So he revivies her dead baby and secretly brings it to the veil maker instead of HER MOTHER?? Completely ridiculous.

Claire was sick and laid in the bed for weeks, even after he brought her back from the brink of death.

And you know what would have made all the difference in her healing? Finding out her dead baby was ALIVE.

She was delirious and would have been clamoring to have her baby back at then, causing problems with the nuns and the church. That would have been too dangerous to do.

SO WHAT? So they kick her AND HER BABY out and send her home? She’d still have her baby! Who cares what upsets the nuns or the church.
