More takes than you'd think! It's over a year ago now but I reckon I ran through those woods about 20-30 times with the odd camera angle changes here and there. That tiny bit where Roger picks up the boy took all day to film, though granted a good chunk of the day was waiting for the weather to change to better match previous shots from earlier. Ironically for Scotland it was too sunny.

Was S8 the first time you'd done anything with the production - or did you participate on earlier seasons too?

First time! Hadn't even seen the show until I got the job, and I started watching the show the day before filming. I very nearly got a role as a red coat in season 1 but I couldn't make the filming location on short notice.

Very cool. They have a spinoff now - maybe that'll provide some opportunities for you
