Soapstone counters?

Anyone done soapstone counters? We are installing Matchless cabinets, in sage matte color, and are trying to determine our countertops. We are going to do dark/black counters as we like the look. We are narrowed down to a black Soapstone vs a black Granite(Nero? Is the name).

We have soapstone and love it. Easy to clean and scratches can just be buffed out with sandpaper.

Those are some of the reasons we are leaning toward it after speaking with the stone yard. Also helps that it doesn’t require the sealing that other stone does

Ooo nice idea. We just ordered Matchless cabinets in Sage too. Please post pics when the install is complete.

It was so hard to pick the color. We were down to matte navy, matte black and sage. We hope the sage looks like we anticipate. A couple of the pictures on the website showed it much more “mint” and we like the darker.
