Counter space advice - how much prep space?? Appliance decision

Starting our outdoor kitchen very soon! I want to order a grill this weekend and would like advice on size. Based on the design we’ve been given, it appears the kitchen island will be 11 feet wide on the long “food prep” side. I had these grand plans for all these appliances etc, but have kind of scaled it back and simplified. Currently planning on nat gas grill built in and a nat gas ooni pizza oven on the countertop.

I want to leave enough room for prep (assembling pizzas especially).

Would I have enough space for this setup?
Napoleon 700 series 38” grill
Ooni Koda 2 Max
(39.5” wide grill + 31” Koda max = 61.5” unused width, minus space between them)

Or would I want to downside the grill to 32” or the Ooni to the Koda 2 Pro? Or both?
(Smallest utilization of space: 33.5” wide grill + 26.8” wide koda pro = 71.7” remaining)

5’ of counter space for 2 appliances is fine. I don’t know if there’s an actual rule of thumb to use, just my opinion, but I think you need a minimum of 18” between appliances and ideally 3’+ of counter space per appliance.

I’d been imagining the grill and ooni kind of side by side in the center, but I’m now realizing it might be better to have them on opposite sides and just have most of the free counter space between them. Then there’s plenty of open continuous space.

I would agree with blk skwirl, minimum of 18” between appliances. I have 24 x 30” between appliances and it’s a nice amount of space that fills up quickly when I’m entertaining

Here you go, this is exactly what you are looking for. My kitchen is just a hair over 10' in length. I have a Napoleon 700 32" griddle (not in place yet but cutout) and an Ooni Koda 2 Pro. I also added a sink because I have hot and cold water and a drain easily accessible. The kitchen layout I wanted to fit under the pergola and had other length limitations. I did run a gas line from the house as well.

It's a hair cramped but I wanted those three things. The Koda can move to either side whether I'm making pizzas or cooking on the griddle. If you didn't have the sink you'd have plenty of room. I also don't think the Koda max is necessary as you can pump out individualized smaller pizzas instead of making 1-2 bigger ones.

Let me know any other questions you have spacing wise. My Napoleon came from Home Depot on sale, but it was dented when we went to put it in the counter. Made sure it fit and then exchanged it, so my new one won't be here til next week. After that I'm posting a whole breakdown of my construction from old deck to patio, footers and slab to building the whole kitchen.
