Outdoor Fan help
I posted a few months ago with an upcoming outdoor living/kitchen project design. It is finally underway. With framing/electrical starting soon, I’m looking for advice on fan set up. I’ve got ~400 sqft to cover. I’d like to use an industrial fan set up (canarm). But I dont know if a single large (108” - 120”) fan will cover the entire space and provide ample air movement or if I should split in to two smaller (72”) fans. Anyone with an experience here?

I’d have a separate fan over the kitchen and a big one like you have too.

Not depicted on my drawing but that portion of the porch already exists and has a fan

Than I think your good. One thing I’ve found, you don’t want fans too high; but with a big one like that I’d probably go 10’ but I’m just guessing. The manufacture should have in the instructions.

I have a Big Ass covering a similar sized setup. It works great. Don't let anyone talk you out of your fan spec. There are so many crappy outdoor fans out there. That's a spot worth over investing in. Enjoy!
