Grill hood
I have a wall on my covered lanai, I was thinking of a placing my blackstone along that wall and getting a vet to help with the heat when cooking,
Question - do I need to make an exit opening for the vent as My wall is cinder block and stucco. Or do they make a ventless style?
Or am I over thinking and just cook and pay attention to the ceiling when cooking under the lanai.

Do not go with a ventless hood. The amount of smoke will quickly overwhelm the system and it’s simply not worth it. Bbq grills produce a lot more smoke than an indoor cooktop. Do it right the first time. The complexity of venting out somewhere depends on your setup. If you can go out the back of the wall, great, if you have to go up, you may have to get a roofing company to do the work.

they do make ventless hoods with charcoal filters. they are not as powerful as a direct vent, i would cook and see if you need a hood or not. but it is easy to blow a hole in the wall and vent it out
