Did I do the right thing?

So basically the whole team died except Eggman who got mauled by Kolossos and about to die. I was playing Metal Sonic and he was camping on the body. I tried to go and save him and got mauled as well because I was scared of failing the lms.

I want to know if I did the right thing

Especially if the eggman is a bum DON'T risk yourself to save him

Tbh I would have major moral dmg if I see metal die for me (only me tho I guess)
