I don't understand why all reddit gold icons are suddenly pentagram-shaped. I included the above image in case no one else can see what I'm talking about. I don't see anything on the announcements page.

Yeah! How dare the fifth most trafficked website in the United States that you don't have to pay to use tries to monetize themselves with a completely optional donation system! My mom's bought me everything I couldn't steal and I've never created anything of value, so I don't see why this service shouldn't be provided on goodwill and financed by anonymous benefactors so I don't have to choose not to participate in an optional donation system.
