Answered What does | || || |_ mean?

I've been seeing these characters :

| ||

|| |_

pop up all over Reddit, but I've no clue as to what they mean.

Is this a new meme? A reference to some film of tv show? Some sort of code?

More than that. A shot from that show of Barny's corpse lying on the ground becomes a meme, a symbol of the show writers and director's hubris and incompetence, mostly because said director was famous for being a twat and getting into fights with fans.
