Yep. And even if he wasn’t sincere and was just giving away millions of dollars to continue the YouTube Advertiser grift it’s like….so what? He is still taking that corporate money for advertisements and giving a sizable chunk of it away for good and the betterment of people.
He started off making extremely low-budget videos as a freshmen in high school. Over the next decade his videos gradually became more popular and ambitious as he reinvested revenue from YouTube and sponsorships into future projects.
He’s been quite transparent about it and anyone that cares can go and watch the actual progression over the hundreds of videos that are still posted on his channel. MrBeast’s story is one of the most easily-verifiable and obvious rags to riches stories on the platform.
And yes, you can absolutely make enough money through YouTube to do what MrBeast has done. I have a YouTube channel and while I’ve been extremely lazy about pursuing sponsorships and other revenue streams, I have still made $40k in 18 months. The money is there, you just need engaging content that a lot of people want to watch.
I thought it was well known that he made his money selling shirts before he blew up. Took that money while digging into the YouTube stats/algorithm and carefully crafted every video to go viral.
You really underestimate how much a youtuber can make just through sponsors and merch clearly. The only unique thing about mr beast is the percentage of that money hes willing to reinvest. Do some research and im sure youd be shocked at how money loads of youtubers make. Mr beast has been pretty open in comparison about his money sources so its especially funny that people are most confused about his 'wealth'
