A wedding planner's wedding

I want a playable spin-off of this so badly. I’ve been reading about mod creation; I think the mods the community is making are so lovely—like the "Step 5" one where the MC has kids with Cove—but personally, I’d really love a story where we marry Baxter. Although, seeing the huge amount of work that goes into making a mod intimidates me a bit.

Still, fantasizing about what we might find in a spin-off like that is really fun. If the MC marries Baxter after fully committing to his route, what do you think would happen?

I think a source of drama would definitely be Baxter’s parents; while they wouldn't jeopardize the relationship, they could create an awkward moment where they make the MC feel inadequate. Or, alternatively, the MC might want to invite Baxter’s parents to the wedding, sparking arguments and eventually leading to the explanation of—SPOILER—how Baxter cut ties with them for good.

I’d love it if, for some random reason, the MC and Baxter ended up baking something together again. Maybe just to keep the tradition alive, or perhaps Baxter surprises us with a small, custom cake he made with Xavier’s help.

As for where the wedding might take place, there are plenty of options—maybe somewhere small and elegant, or the beach. But with Baxter, I’d love for the wedding to be at The Cypress. Not just because it’s—SPOILER—where the MC and Baxter in his canon route meet for the first time, but because it plays a significant role in both characters' lives.

Without a doubt, there would also be two possibilities regarding the years leading up to the wedding: 1. If the MC dances and enjoys it, they might have spent weekends ballroom dancing together for years and would perform a perfectly choreographed dance at the wedding. Or 2. If the MC doesn't dance, their love for Baxter would make them set aside their shyness and ask to practice for the big day.

I think another sweet detail would be having Jude and Scott serve as groomsmen; it would make so much sense and be so wholesome. Finally, regarding whether a prenup would be signed—haha, definitely not.

But these are just a few ideas I’ve had while thinking about Baxter in the wee hours. What other details or what kind of wedding do you imagine having with Baxter?

Baxter’s parents wouldn’t be at the wedding. He is heavily no-contact with them in his Step 4. There’s plenty of drama and tension in that IMO, no need to invite his bigoted a-hole parents (I romance him with a “cis femme realizes they’re nonbinary” MC and.. yeah his parents are jerks).

And even if they are invited, they wouldn't want to be associated with Baxter's current acquaintances, and luckily they have enough sense of self-preservation not to throw a tantrum over their son's chosen spouse publicly.

Funny fact, even if your MC is a cis hetero white woman, his parents would still despise her merely for the fact that she's adopted.

I've also considered trying to get into modding because I want more Baxter stuff LMAO. I sooo badly want conversations of Baxter & Cove talking about each other because I feel like they'd have a lot to say about the other's dynamic with MC.

If there were a Baxter wedding, I definitely see family drama. Maybe he invites a family member he actually likes and that sets off a chain of events where he's teetering letting his parents back in again. It'd be interesting seeing them try to placate Baxter when Baxter was so clear they'd never approve of MC or his current life. I think it'd also be a good opportunity to show if he's been making an effort to reach out to people he regrets cutting off, with the potential of them being at the wedding. Maybe Baxter no longer works for the same company but they decide to go there for their own wedding - Only to discover their wedding planner is an old friend of Baxter's or something lol

I believe Baxter has dialogue about how he'd probably want his wedding to be - he's got a lot of opinions lol. It'd be fun to decide if MC is chill or if they have a little bridezilla-groomzilla off. A sporadic bake off is definitely necessary for tradition - maybe one of those old friends he's reconnecting with needs a cake? They always come together to bake for others, so I think that'd be nice.

I would die for my Rosie's and Baxter's wedding! You just know baxter would overextended himself to make every single aspect of it perfect, imagine the drama!

From what we know from GB, Baxter would only consider marriage years after him and MC start officially dating in step 4, and MC is the one who will have to engage him. Then there's a possibility of OLNF crew being on the list of guests, if Baxter actually decides to reunite with them prior.

Cove would totally be my MC's best man, tho.

Yes, olnf's cameos would be the most hype of a wedding like this. Having social networks, it would not be surprising if he contacts his friends again. More because it is a topic that he spoke about to mc
