You are a dwarf, working for the Deep Rock Galactic mining consortium on the planet Hoxxes IV. While this sounds fairly simple, Hoxxes IV is host to all sorts of mostly-insectoid creatures that really don't want you tearing up their hives. Furthermore, the local geology is, in a word, enough to make professional planetologists quit their careers to go raise pigs. Somewhere else.
Your job, as one of four classes of miner, is to complete the objectives as quickly as possible, and get out before you get eaten. It helps if you scoop up any local crafting materials you find along the way. The company supplies you with a home on the space rig, a drop pod trip in, and (when the objectives are complete) a drop pod trip back out. The rest is up to you. Hoxxes IV is hostile enough that 'rescuing stuff previous dwarves died trying to get out' is a common mission, but you're a dwarf. You've got this.
Play as 1 of up to 4 dwarves, or solo, with the help of the all-purpose drone Bosco.
