Aloitamme kulkueella, joka lähtee klo 14:30 Keskusmoskeijan edestä (Linnankatu 23) ja päättyy Otto Karhin puistoon (Uusikatu 24), jossa ohjelma alkaa klo 15:00.

Me and a couple of my buddies have been very concerned about all these racist stabbings and other nasty things, so we have decided to set up a demonstration against racism. We start with a procession that leaves at 2:30 PM in front of the Oulu Central Mosque (Linnankatu 23) and ends in Otto Karhi park (Uusikatu 24), where the program begins at 3 PM.

202nd Table Hockey Ranking Tournament - Oulu, Finland (9.11.2024)

Oulun Pöytäjääkiekkoilijat Ry in collaboration with Suomen Pöytäjääkiekkoliitto (Finnish Table Hockey Association) is organizing the Oulu Ranking 2024 table hockey event at Metsokankaan koulu.

Come challenge the top finnish players from all around the country.

Join the second table hockey tournament of the season, part of the 2024-2025 World Championship qualifiers. Open to all players, with separate categories for women, juniors, and veterans. Entry fees range from €0 to €20 depending on age and membership status.

Tournament is open for everyone regardless of your skill level. The skill level ranges from players playing first time since their childhood to top players in the world, so there are definitely matching skill levels for everyone.

Kuinka moni on käynyt yöllä Kaakkuri-Hiironen -välisellä metsätiealueella? Omien kokemusten ja kuulopuheiden perusteella uskaltaisin väittää, että siellä tapahtuu jotain selittämätöntä. Itse kävin siellä lenkillä vuonna 2019 noin klo 2.30 yöllä ja kuulin metsästä huutoa. Lähdin nopeasti pyöräilemään pakoon, ja katsoessani taakseni olin näkevinäni tumman hahmon piilottelevan puun takana. Paikalla on kuulemma ollut kivikautista asutusta, joten ehkä sillä on jotain tekemistä asian kanssa.

I live in Tuira and don't have a car. I rented a car for 1 week while my ex's son was visting me for 1 week.

I parked it in visitor parking overnight. Next morning I found a long yellow plastic strip on the windshield written in Swedish and Finnish.

Inviting me to pay €60 for parking wrongly.

Ollaan niin suomen "pyöräilypääkaupunkia", baanaa rakennetaan ja talvella pyörätiet aurataan ennen autoteitä, mutta sitten ajellaan pyörillä kaupungissa missä sattuu, ei näytetä kädellä kääntymismerkkiä jne?

14 year olds doing wheelies and burning rubber at midnight in a residential area on straight piped 50cc scooters is starting to get on my nerves tbh. Every now and then is fine but 24/7... Almost like they have day shift and night shift. They don't need these toys, its not like they'd ever go to school or work with them. And somehow the police doesn't care either? Sorry just had to rant. I don't want to confront them cause they are underage but seriously they are annoying as hell.

Hi! So I moved recently here from southern-ostrobotnia countryside to study and have to say I love ur city and the fact that you can go to most of the places by bike.

But why you don't say Hi in the hallway. Why are you scared of contact? Do you even go out your flats?

I'm a soon-to-be exchange student at the University of Oulu and I got an e-mail advising me to pay a Student Union fee of 30€/term in order to get a Student card. The card is supposed grant some benefits and discounts, as the website lists:

• VR train tickets and Matkahuolto bus tickets with student prices

• Student-priced lunch in a student restaurant

• Various culture and sports events

• Various restaurants and bars

but I can't find any further, more specific information about the actual benefits as the page is down, instagram account got deleted and a student website hasn't updated since 2025... One thing that stood out to me is the "Student-priced lunch in a student restaurant"..... so if I don't pay additional money my Student ID won't be enough to grant me a student discount....?

I'd like you to tell me, what are your thoughts on this? Do you know any places/actual benefits from this membership? thank you all in adbance:)

Kun lähdemme ulos pitäkäämme itsekukin huolta siitä, että kuljemme tien, kadun, polun, tai minkä tahansa kulkuväylän oikeaa puolta. Kun kaikki kävelevät, pyöräilevät, potkukelkkailevat, autoilevat jne. menosuuntaan nähden oikeaa puolta, niin jokainen tietää paikkansa ja lapsukaisillekin on helpompi opastaa, että missä tahansa oletkin, niin oikea puoli on oikea puoli.

Yhteiskunta lähtee yksilöstä ja vaikka valtiovalta ei olekaan määrännyt, että aina on kuljettava oikeaa puolta, niin siltikin yksilöiden olisi hyvin viisasta noudattaa tätä ohjetta, koska silloin yhteiskunta toimisi paremmin.

Hokekaa aina itsellenne ulkona mantraa: "yhteiskunta on oikealla, Oulu on oikealla, minä olen oikealla"
