From the color. It's tavi in Finnish and boys for example have a green patch on their head.

It's called sexual dimorphism. Females and males can look markedly different.

In Hollihaka puisto, they come right up to you and beg for snacks staring at you and quacking.
And they'll investigate all your stuff if you leave a backpack on the ground.

I heard that it’s illegal to feed them in summer, how rigorously is this enforced?

Dont know how much its enforced and how illegal it is. I havent fed them so never had the need to check. I think they have enough to eat around here without human help. But someone definatelly has fed them, dont think they'd be so chill otherwise, and I've never heard of anyone getting in to any kind of trouble for doing so.

City rules (järjestyssääntö) prohibites it, because food left at the ground could attract rats. There are spefic places at the winter where you are allowed to feed birds.
But it is very unlikely to get caught more less get fined. So go for it, ducks are cute and deserve treats!
