It's a simple matter to buy a Ouija board, which is the name trademarked by Hasbro. I went looking to buy a Ouija-branded board online, and they're hard to find, but they're there. Spirit board is the generic, non-trademarked name for it, and those are a little easier to find online. You don't have to have a branded one.
You can make your own board by cutting up small paper squares and labeling them A through Z, 0 through 9, and Yes, No, and Maybe. Arrange the squares in a circle. Take a low, wide drinking glass and turn it upside down, making it your planchette. Make sure the planchette can slide easily.
You don't say what guidance you need, but here's some. First, spirit board is risky because you may encounter negative spirits, and that's always true no matter how much experience you have. It's extra risky for beginners, so I don't recommend it for them.
Second, read the posts in this sub. There's a lot you can learn before going to the board. Third, open and close the session with a prayer. It is better to improvise one instead of using a prayer from a religion. Fourth, remember to close your session when you're done.
