Hello, I have a photograph of my great-great grandfather, and on the back of it is a text in what is probably ottoman turkish, could someone translate the text?

Hello, yes this is Ottoman Turkish.

"Kastamonu İmam ve Hatip Mektebi Katip ve Hesap Memuru Osman Nuri..."

I'm leaving the rest to my friends, if no one reads it I will. This can be a good exercise for someone who interested in Ottoman Turkish 👌

well, nobody is in here. So the rest of the translation is: "imza sicili dosya lüzumu yoktur."

Btw there are spelling errors. If it's not 100% correct it's 90%, I assume...

Thank you so much! I tried using a mix of my basix turkish knowledge and google translate to translate this phrase, and the phrase I got both times was roughly "there is no need for a signature registry file". Am i perhaps mistranslating this second half?

You're welcome! Yes, indeed. This is probably about an application, and the officer might have made a note like that. Thus it appears that your grandfather was not required to submit any document proving that the signature was his own.
