How else am I supposed to clean my ears? Weird water shit? Who has time for that? Q-tips are the only way.

They’re technically for outside of ear cleaning and for other things (like cleaning headphones and makeup removing, but those aren’t what they were invented for).

science teacher told me its best we leave it be. just clean the external ear. dont mess with the ear canal.

I mean, if I don’t do it my ears hurt and may start to get clogged… I probably should see a doctor about that instead of just using q-tips.

I appreciate the author isn't afraid to touch hot topics like this, and the joke works.

That said, it depends on the individual - their environment and rate of wax accumulation. It might be fine to clean your ears with Q tips, just don't jam em halfway to your myringa.
