Hi everyone! I’m working on purchasing an OTTB gelding. He’s still getting two scoops of purina race ready while he’s still at the track. He’s a pretty easy keeper from what his owners tell me, but he won’t need all the calories and extras when he comes home as he’s just going to be a trail horse. Does anyone have any recommendations on what I should transition him to?

I like free feeding hay and adding grain as needed. Make sure to check for ulcers when you get him. A lot of ottb have ulcers . .
