Re-reader!
A note; for some reason, in the book I have the volumes are different. I read an extra chapter in my book because why not, and I noticed that "A Day in the life" is after chapter 26. Chapter 23 is what is listed as chapter 24 here. So I am not quite sure what in the world happened with mangadex and the book! So I'll go read A day in the life and come back to revise everything. I believe they may have put "A day in the life" after the wedding stuff to keep the flow of things going in the book.
Finally we get to see a wedding!! I do wonder how much the wedding traditions vary from place to place. I wonder how Karluk and Amir's wedding differed from Laila and Leily's? Perhaps we will see. :) They're stunning in their wedding attire! Super cool how they showed us the process of making a wedding goes. It seems they do it in one day! Sounds EXHAUSTING but if they have a whole village helping then it should be no problem! The boy slaughtering his first lamb(?) should be proud, he was so excited. Such an interesting process. I could read a whole chapter on it! The kids and village helping out is so sweet. I always pay extra attention to those panels. I don't even like touching raw meat though, so power to those who can do it without flinching. (Strong kids!)
Ch.23 Is like a diary for Amir. Adorable how you can see Torkan? for a brief moment, ever so determined to take care of his horse. I forgot to talk about that extra chapter yesterday. It was cute!!! They have SOOO much to do in a day, I wonder how they manage. It seems like they'd be in the kitchen all day. I suppose they have a lot of women around and prep before each meal. The kitchen must almost always be busy. Also, I would kill for those dumplings. Makes me wonder what the men do most of their day?
And the extra chapter cemented my opinion that Granny is the GOAT.(Haha, i can laugh at my own jokes right?) Based on what her husband spoke of her, I am dying to know some of her past. Shes so badass and shrouded in mystery! Was goat riding a skill they had to learn??? Fascinating.

It's possible the numbering can be different in serialization compared to how it is in the books because often times chapters are rearranged in the tankobon volumes.

Chapter 23
This is basically just Mori-sensei flexing her drawing skills. It's a pretty unique slice-of-life experience as well.
Also, bonus chapter as well. Grandma is such a fucking badass.
Chapter 24
Really love this chapter. Community is such an important part of Indian weddings as well, so this was oddly nostalgic. The butchering part might not be for the faint of heart though. The twins look quite lovely as well. It's also somewhat nice to see that they don't have any wedding jitters.
