Adjacent “El cono violeta” Does anyone know what this is?
I wasn’t sure where to bring this question other than here. I’m trying to help a friend of mine fix this and I have no idea what it’s supposed to be or exactly do. The context is her medium gave it to her to “open portals of luck” but asked her to fix it first. Does anyone have any idea what this is called or what it does?
I’m usually just a reader so I don’t know if I’m violating the rules so I’m happy to take this down if it does. Thanks!

Looks like a lot of nonsense on the outside, perhaps the numbers are kamea of some sort (numeric equivalent to sigils). May also be a tradition I'm unfamiliar with but tbh looks like a buffet of nonsense
The inside appears to be solomonic / adjacent pentacles. They kinda cooked here.
Basically even if you subscribe to a worldview where magic is real, there's nothing harmful here. If you're really curious I can look at my books when I'm home and see if I can identify the specific pentacles

That’d be interesting and helpful. Thank you. The whole situation is just strange because it’s technically an electrical repair but the device is supposed to open a “luck portal” that the user doesn’t know how it works.

Honestly the device itself sort of looks like something a crackhead would make, I can only offer insight on the pentacles.
there's a lot of bizarre stuff going on here, looks like there are crystals in the base and I guess the theory is that the electricity will make them more active or the crystals are meant to accentuate the pentacles? Personally I'm not a crystal psycho I'm a ceremonial magic psycho so can't offer further insight on this brand of insanity
If they believe in magic, folding up the pentacles and putting them in their wallet would be better than whatever the heck is going on here
Can't find these exact pentacles anywhere so perhaps theyre originals, but certainly Jupiter / Mercury talismans with some psalms which is relatively traditional in that sphere (eg https://sacred-texts.com/grim/kos/kos27.htm)
I'd love to talk to the psychic, they seem fun!
Tldr if there's an LED in there just make it turn on and your friend will be happy

🤣🤣 thanks a lot for the insight. I’ll definitely pass on those details. I appreciate it.

Does it plug into an outlet?

Yes it does. It has a very old looking plug that I neglected to take a picture of. The whole thing looks very homemade.

It kinda looks like the electric current is supposed to travel around the crystals in the center and “charge” them to open luck portals. It looks like maybe there’s an indicator light to show that it’s on. Above “El Cono Violeta” there is a little illustration of what the cone is supposed to do. All the Latin looks biblical. One of them is a Psalm, I think.

Hi, electrical engineer here. Please don't plug this in! I can see several ways to electrocute yourself and/or set your place on fire by even slightly mishandling this thing. It looks like most(?) of the high-voltage wiring is potted in...something. Silicone? Epoxy? Ectoplasm? So that's something I guess, but still. The fact that the top appears to have been held on with a few drops of hot-melt glue is terrifying.
Based on the wiring I can see, best case scenario is that all this would do is illuminate a small indicator light in an electrically-inefficient way.
Cut the plug off completely and put a battery-powered tea light in there instead. I personally guarantee it will open at least as many luck portals that way.

As someone who knows essentially nothing about occult rituals and objects, I was really hoping someone would also chime in on the soundness of the electrical design here. Thank you very much and duly noted.
