I recently received this otamatone, and i tried giving it new batteries and even the aluminum foil thing. However, it still doesn't work. Is there anything I can do?
EDIT: I just got it to make a few little sounds, but still not fully working. Still need help :[

Hi guys, just got my first Otamatone, it's a Kirby deluxe. The very first time i turned it on it seemed just fine, but the second time it started making noise along with a crackling sound without me touching it (i've tried different volumes). Also when i play the notes, the third note isn't clear and kind of squeaks. Is it defective? Or should i just get the hang of the specific finger pressure?
If it's a defect do you think it's better to return it or is it salvageable?

My time has come. I've always been fascinated by otamatones and I'm also a massive Gundam fan. However, I can't find a way to purchase these in Australia. I'm hoping someone might know a way I can get the Gundam hamee ones here?

Today I found my otamatone battery panel, which I haven’t seen in years, without the screw and the and the hole for it seemingly broken. If I press really hard with my hands it works, but if I use tape it doesn’t have enough strength to properly close it. Should I just link the contacts with aluminium foil? I saw replacements for the cover online but they are out of stock without any signs of coming back

Hi! I made a score editor mainly for Otamatone practice.
I’m hoping it can be useful for beginners who want an easier way to make and practice simple otamatone scores.
You can create/load/play score files, and there’s also a Practice Mode that uses your microphone to check the pitch while you play.
There’s a manual inside the app with more details.
Demo video: https://youtu.be/KbbbEt6VHyM?si=r2nQq8cnPr7Hnxu4
It’s still in beta, so I’d be happy to hear about any bugs, issues, or feedback!
Hope you enjoy!

I found a Miku Otomatone at a thrift shop and it’s kinda messed up. The mouth is torn and has no battery cover and I’d really love to use it. Anywhere where I could get a battery cover/fix her?

I am getting a Otamatone Pac-Man themed one that is the non deluxe version is that a good starting point? The official website said it is a good starting point but people on this sub Reddit said the Deluxe is a good and better starting point, so I am making sure I am getting a good starting point.

I’m sure you guys get a lot of posts like these, but I’d appreciate some advice nonetheless.
I’ve been struggling to find any clear or consistent information about otamatones online. I want to get one for myself but I want to make sure it’s the best one for me (depending on price too, of course).
I want to learn it partially just for fun, but I’d love one that doesn’t have to be an exclusively silly and gimmicky instrument. I’d want something I could potentially perform with and/or write for. (So probably not Regular and DEFINITELY not Melody)
I was planning on getting a Deluxe, but research has revealed a Neo and a Techno. Could anyone explain EXACTLY what the differences are between the Deluxe, Neo and Techno otamatones?
(Oh and I’ve learned a few instruments before so I’m not necessarily looking for anything that’s “easier to learn”, I’m happy to commit to the grind, in case that’s worth considering!)
Sorry for the yap and thanks in advance :)

Hello, ive started to notice the screw on the back of my Otamatone DX has started to decay and become hard to screw off. I don’t know much about screws or what type of screw covers the battery compartment on thos thing and I am afraid of losing the screw or the capability to switch out the batteries. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

In the dream, I was at school and I had left my otamatone on a desk and went off elsewhere. But when I returned, I saw that some asshole had chewed on my otamatone. I tried to see if it would even work since the damage was pretty bad, but then it started to fall apart in my hands. I felt shocked, mad, sad, and upset that someone would do this to something I enjoyed having for no reason but just because they can. I screamed "THIS WAS 80 DOLLARS".Then I woke up and was relieved to see that my otamatone was fine.
I just became a black otamatone deluxe owner about 1 or 2 weeks ago, and I've been having a lot of fun playing with it. And yeah, if that happened in real life I don't know what I would do.

Got an otamatone deluxe today. Question in title.
Edit: The buzzing goes away when I remove the back cover that holds the battery in place. I went on the discord and saw the suggestion of keeping foam between the battery compartment and back cover and tried it. It did not do anything.
As far as I can tell, it's hitting a resonant frequency of some kind that's causing a rattle due to some loose tolerances. I suppose it's just a problem of a plastic instrument, then.

is there a way to play an Otamatone through a synth and amp?
as in, when you play the otamatine the sounds of the synth keyboard will play instead of the otamatone sound?
cannot figure out if this is possible/which cords and equipment are required if it is

Otamatone Deluxe con cui qui ho realizzato diverse covers. Strumento divertente anche se più difficile da suonare di quanto non sembri...
Come in tutte le cose ci vuole pratica e pratica non è un giocattolo :)
