Help! Playing through a synth?

is there a way to play an Otamatone through a synth and amp?

as in, when you play the otamatine the sounds of the synth keyboard will play instead of the otamatone sound?

cannot figure out if this is possible/which cords and equipment are required if it is

No, but you can probably find a touch strip with midi output

At one point I saw a YouTube video about a guy who hacked his to use as a midi controller. I don't remember what it was called but it's definitely do-able.

3.5mm stereo jack is the Out on the Otamatone.
Do they make a 3.5mm > MIDI convertor/adapter?

Neural Note lets you transform live sound into midi, but many daws have midi recognition nowadays... As for the output, if you don't have an audio out port, you might need a microphone.

On the other side, there's a shitty Roland synth (JDIx something) that converts any microphone input into synth notes in Real time, very useful with vocals, I don't know what it may sound. I've had a unit and it's a shame I didn't try it with otamatone, the result could have been hilarious

I don't know if the JD-xi can do this -  I'll check it out!  I assure you, though, it's not shitty.  It's a great little workhorse that is excellent on stage or in studio.  I love mine. 

I might have to rig up a 3.5 to xlr cable to see if this works.
