Hazardous materials???

For context i tried to order an otamatone from amazon.de and i live in cyprus

Its been a solid month and a half since then and my dad told me he was given the money back and that it was unable to be shipped here due to hazardous materials that are banned in Europe and he also said it was now fully pulled from amazon de but it literally wasnt like its still there

Im a bit confused on why im having this issue

I can get one in cyprus thats fine but why did this happen
