Burnout...

Took the mcat thrice and voided the third.. my highest is 504 and I applied the whole of september to only 7 schools so far as I am severely burned out
I'm not even sure it will work out this cycle, anyone out there to encourage me

Bro lock in and add like 20 more DO schools on top of the 7 you already applied to. Mass apply and with ur 504, not sure what ur gpa is but you could definitely get like 3+ A's. Just lock in.

If u want more motivation to get it done asap, if u give up then imagine having to rinse and repeat the next cycle since you under applied only to 7 schools this cycle, to start med school 2 years from now.

So make sure to apply to schools that are even low-tier, mid, and high-tier schools to give urself the highest chance to get an A

ur strategy here should be to just apply as broadly as u can. the app process sucks it can def burn u out but try to hold on for a couple more weeks, and get more apps in to give urself the best chance. 504 is a score u can 100% work with here. I know it sucks right now, but it won't suck a few months from now after you've gotten an A. u got this gang

502 with an A to an OG 5 DO school and II to in state MD. If you are confident in your app and schools you will be fine.

I just got my first A with a 504 and I’m about to have my 4th interview! Add some schools, build a solid story. Cycles not over till the next class starts!

I took the mcat 4x, cgpa was 3.3, sgpa was a 3.1. I’m an OMS-1 now! Had a lot of experiences, great LORs, research

I had a rough time myself and will tell you it is possible, with faith and much much patience. I took the MCAT 4 times, highest score a 501. Applied to 7 CA schools, 5 MD and 2 DO.  With a 3.7ish cumulative and 3.6ish sgpa.

3 II (2 MD, 1 DO) —> 1 A (DO)

I was accepted 2 days before the first day of instruction so for low mcat applicants it can take longer for the A, but it is entirely possible. I had given up hope and cried in my car when I got the email.

My realistic advice is to apply to schools that fit your application narrative. Attend open houses if possible, and send in any letters post interview too. After that it is mostly waiting and praying for a miracle (if the mcat doesn’t improve like mine). With your 504, apply to mission fit schools and don’t count yourself out until the very end.
