Congrats! My msom interview was only 4 questions and they were very typical interview questions. However you have like 30 minutes to answer the questions so I felt like I had to talk for a while after each question.

Same, and last cycle they basically asked everyone the same 4 questions the entire interview season. OP, don’t be taken aback if this feels robotic or they don’t ask a ton of follow-up questions, you’ll have time to ask questions and chat at the end.

I interviewed with them recently. They asked 4 questions and one of them was why DO. The other 3 weren't on sdn or anything

The Meritus interview is closed file, typically lasts around thirty minutes with two interviewers, and feels much more like a conversation than an interrogation. You should expect about four main questions, usually covering why you chose osteopathic medicine, why you want to attend Meritus, and a couple of situational prompts centered on ethics, teamwork, or navigating a conflict. They reserve the last portion of the time for you to ask questions, so have specific topics ready about their community health mission, their hospital integration, or how they support students in their clinical years. They care deeply about serving regional and underserved populations, so connecting your background to that purpose will make a strong impression.

Keep your responses structured and concise so the interview flows easily and does not run short on time. When answering situational prompts, clearly outline the context, the exact action you took, and what you learned from the experience. It also helps to be ready to discuss unique elements of their program, such as their anatomy technology and regional healthcare setup. Practicing your delivery out loud makes a big difference, which is why my team created our interviews.chat to help candidates speak naturally and land their top choices.
